Are you an Air Force Academy graduate but not a member of the Association of Graduates? We invite you to join the AOG at no cost to you. Joining gives you opportunities to connect with fellow grads, stay in touch with the Academy and support cadets.

Why join?

  • You earned your AOG membership when you graduated from the Air Force Academy. Membership gives you access to graduate services and offerings.
  • With you, we are stronger. Joining the AOG gives you a voice in alumni decisions and who represents you on the AOG board of directors.
  • Members are the first to know about important items that impact our Academy, cadets and graduates and ensure our bond — the Long Blue Line — remains welcoming and steadfast.

Thanks to the significant contributions of over 30,000 founding AOG members, and from the desire to connect all graduates to their Association and their Academy, the AOG was able to move away from a due-paying model and offer no-cost membership to all graduates starting in 2022.

By moving to a dues-free membership, we can better meet graduate needs and deliver meaningful support to a growing Long Blue Line.

  • Stay connected to the Long Blue Line – Connect with fellow grads through the Long Blue Line Portal, access personalized career services and support, and find graduates around the world through our directory.
  • Stay in the know – Receive Checkpoints magazine digitally, get updates through the biweekly ZoomiEnews, receive our annual Here's A Toast: Gone But Not Forgotten and relive your USAFA days through the WebGuy site.
  • Have a say in who represents you on the AOG Board of Directors – Vote in AOG board of directors elections every two years. The 16-member board governs our Association of Graduates and represents our membership.
  • Plus, access other benefits, such as discounts at Doolittle Outfitters, Hotel Polaris and Rampart Lodge.

Yes, we believe all graduates should have a voice in their alumni association and a chance to vote on who represents them on the AOG Board of Directors. By becoming an AOG member, you will have a vote on who represents you on the AOG board and, as needed, on changes to our bylaws. This is a key benefit of AOG membership.

To communicate the rollout of membership for all graduates, the Association of Graduates held meetings in late 2021 with our Board of Directors, the Class Advisory Senate, and chapter, affinity and parent club presidents to make sure the broad release to all living graduates was informed and consistent. Additionally, we provided launch materials to those same groups, and class scribes received information kits to share with their classmates. Finally, Legacy members received details in the December 2021 issue of Checkpoints magazine. The rollout communications included our newsletters and social media, and we continue to work hard to make sure graduates are aware.

Yes, as an AOG graduate member you will receive Checkpoints magazine digitally. Checkpoints comes out in March, June, September and December and is a signature benefit of AOG membership. It also includes video and podcast features.

No. You are joining the Association of Graduates, which is the official alumni association for U.S. Air Force Academy graduates. The Air Force Academy Foundation under its bylaws has no members and exists to generate donor support of the Academy and ensure all gifts are stewarded as the donor intends.
